NFBAR in Action: Recent Events
The National Federation of the Blind of Arkansas (NFBAR) is continuously working to build a stronger, more inclusive Arkansas where blind and low-vision individuals can live, learn, and thrive. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, we are transforming perceptions about blindness and proving every day that with opportunity and access, blind people can achieve anything.
This page highlights recent NFBAR events, initiatives, and success stories that reflect our mission in action. From statewide outreach programs and leadership development workshops to technology training sessions, youth mentorship activities, and legislative advocacy efforts, our members are making a real and lasting impact in communities across Arkansas.
In addition, this page will feature coverage of our major annual events, including the NFB of Arkansas State Convention, where members connect, learn, and strengthen our movement; the National Federation of the Blind National Convention, which unites members from across the country to share ideas and advance our national priorities; and the NFB Washington Seminar, where advocates meet with legislators on Capitol Hill to promote equality, accessibility, and opportunity for the blind community.
As we continue to grow, NFBAR remains committed to building partnerships, supporting members, and sharing the stories that inspire progress. Explore this page to learn how our programs and events embody our shared belief that blindness is not the characteristic that defines us or our future—it is simply one of many experiences that make us who we are.
Stay tuned—links to individual event pages will be added soon, providing more details about NFBAR’s recent activities, conventions, and ongoing initiatives that continue to shape a more inclusive future for all Arkansans.
