Education Programs
The National Federation of the Blind of Arkansas (NFBAR) knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines the future for blind students. Through our extensive education programs, we present blind students with new ideas, expose teachers and families to our positive philosophy on blindness, and encourage blind youth to reach their full potential.
NFB Training Centers
The National Federation of the Blind is proudly affiliated with the country’s leading training centers for the blind, which offer a variety of programs for all ages that help build blindness skills and encourage independence. NFB BELL® Academy
The NFB BELL Academy provides children with Braille and nonvisual skills instruction through fun, hands-on learning activities. Activities are provided in a day program or residential setting, depending on location. The program is designed for blind and low-vision children, ages four through twelve.
